Chicken & Cheese Pasta

This recipe originally came from Dena.  She made it when we visited Auburn several years ago.  I've tweaked it a bit since then.  This recipe is DEFINITELY a crowd favorite !!

CHICKEN & CHEESE PASTA

2-3 chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces
Zesty Italian dressing
1 box of pasta, you're choice (rotini, bowtie, it doesn't matter)
1 jar of your favorite alfredo sauce
1 8oz bag of shredded cheddar cheese
1 8oz bag of another shredded cheese, you're choice (mozzarella, colby, 5 cheese italian)

 Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  • Place the chicken in a frying pan.  Cover with Italian dressing. I usually add a little salt, pepper and garlic powder to it too.Mix well.
  • Cook on medium until the dressing is completely gone and the pieces start browning
  • While cooking the chicken, cook your box of pasta per directions.
  • In a large bowl, add both packs of cheese, the alfredo, chicken and (drained) pasta. Mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into a 13x9 pan.
  • VERY IMPORTANT STEP: Sprinkle a good amount (not TOO much) of Lawry's seasoning over the entire casserole.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
Variations:
There are so many variations to this recipe!  I like to sometimes put sundried tomatoes in and use sundried tomato alfredo as well.  Try different cheese combinations.  Noodle types.
