Nean's Chocolate Fudge

"Make ya slap ya momma"
"Finer than frog hair"

These are some things you may say if you ever tasted my momma's cooking.  She wasn't for all the fancy stuff.  She always cooked, what I liked to call, "old folks food".  That consisted of corn, peas, butterbeans, tomatoes, okra.....

She could make some killer desserts too, though!  I already posted her Red Velvet Cake recipe.  I'm going to follow it up with one of her signature items, homemade chocolate fudge.

The key to this is NOT TO TASTE IT while you're cooking it or you'll throw it out.  Do what the recipe says then grab you a big ole glass of milk and enjoy!

Nean's Chocolate Fudge

4 1/2 cups sugar
1 large can of Pet milk
1/4 lb butter
18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3T vanilla flavoring
Nuts of your choice

BEFORE YOU START, make sure you have everything measured out and ready to go.  This will go fast and require your attention at all times.

Cook sugar and milk together, stirring constantly.  Bring to a oil.
Boil exactly 6 minutes.
Remove from hear and add other ingredients.  Add nuts.

Let stand SIX HOURS before cutting
